· To plan, execute coordinate and monitor various extension programmes of the University
· To supervise and control field activities of extension specialists of various disciplines
· To coordinate the extension activities of the University with those of concerned State Govt. and allied departments
· To organize trainings to farmers, farm women, animal keepers, etc on various aspects of agriculture as well as to provide vocational training on agriculture based occupations
· To render referral services in the field of soil, plant and animal health
· To publish farm literature and to ensure sale/distribution of literature
· To organize Kisan Mela, Kisan Diwas, Field Days and Exhibitions among the farmers and general public
